Skills I Want to Learn:
I joined WWOOF because I want to immerse myself in sustainable living and gain hands-on experience with organic farming and eco-friendly practices. I’m passionate about nature, eager to learn practical skills, and excited to contribute positively to the farms I visit. WWOOF is a great way for me to connect with like-minded people, grow personally, and experience authentic local lifestyles while helping out with meaningful work.

We have a beautiful 25 acre property in the Gold Coast Hinterland with stunning views where we have been creating our dream of living in total Self-Sufficiency and harmony with nature over the last 10 years through studying and practicing permaculture farming methods. We have planted hundreds of tropical fruit trees, food forests and veggie gardens and are looking for likeminded WWOOFERS to help grow and maintain our organic farm. We are surrounded by natural Australian bush habitat with lots of native wildlife including Koalas, Kangaroos, Wallaby’s, Echidnas, Rainbow Lorikeets, Black & White Cockatoos, and Eagles sighted daily and many more of God's wonderful creatures. Volunteering may include harvesting, food collection, composting, mulching, weeding, fencing, planting, food preservation, bee keeping, brush cutting, digging holes, building animal enclosures, as skills permit. Accommodation is for 1-2 people in fully self-contained accommodation with food provided where possible. We are passionate about health, fitness and wellness and eat a healthy, sustainable diet. Many meals are vegan or vegetarian. Our property is a short 15-20 minutes drive to Australia's finest beaches, Burleigh Beach, Palm Beach, Currumbin & Tugun Beach, as well as Tallebudgera Creek & Currumbin Creek. Less than 1 hour drive to Byron Bay, just over 1 hour drive from Brisbane and only 25 minutes from the Gold Coast Air Port. No smoking, no children and all stays are negotiable on application subject to phone interview and initial trial. Please let us know your available dates when you apply and the length of time that you would like to WWOOF here. (Short initial stay preferred for 1 to 2 weeks trial and long-term agreement available for suitable applicant.).

Amberly is a 250 acre, family run cattle and free-range egg farm close to the Murrumbidgee River and conveniently located in the suburbs just 20 minutes from the centre of Canberra. 3000 unfenced chickens are free to range at will, protected by our beautiful Maremma guardian dogs. We have a large vegetable garden, a recently established mixed orchard and bees for family use. We firmly believe that sustainable farming means looking after the environment as the first priority. We have recently been received a national award from Landcare Australia for Innovation in Agriculature and Land Management. Work includes fencing, weeding, mowing, gardening, landscaping and working with the farm animals. Longer stays often see wwoofers learning new skills by getting involved in projects where we are building new infrastructure on the farm. Accomodation in our passive solar straw-bale house.

Breed and show Paint horses, Miniature Mediterranean and Irish Donkies, Hereford cattle and Alpacas . We are in a peaceful rural area surrounded by beautiful rolling hills of pasture. Paradise! I have been establishing the property for the past 12 months and there is still a lot to do.

I would like to live and cultivate a deeper relationship with the land that provides us with so much, food, shelter, protection. I was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of the Himalayas and grew up in a small town in Srinagar, Kashmir. I have always had a deep longing to get back into the mountains into nature where I feel most comfortable, and now as life has it I am in a position to be able to work from anywhere and have enough resources to be learning and participating in activities that truly feed my soul, one of which is teaching meditation which I have been doing for a while and the other is to learn how to become self sustainable, growing my own food through regenerative methods, where the soil is replenished rather than stripped from its important nutrients. Therefore I find myself, joining this woofing community to work remotely and on my free time engage closely with the land and a community of people who have been doing this sacred work. It would be a dream come true for me to be able to live and learn from someone who has been successful in building a nurturing self sustainable community.

We have dreamed about moving to a larger piece of land for awhile but feel quite overwhelmed with the idea. We would love to experience the reality of farm life to get a sense of how or if it might fit with our family lifestyle. We also just generally love learning new things and having different experiences.

I had good, great and bad experiences in woofing, but I'm still very interested about it for how much I can learn from the others. I'm also interested about alternative ways to live. My best experiences are when I can create a deep connection with people I meet, I guess that's my main motivation and goal

Both Wyatt and I grew up with small gardens in our childhood homes and have great memories associated with it. Ayla spent a couple weeks every summer helping on a family farm in Saskatchewan and Alberta. While it wasn’t heavy labour it was defiantly enough to inspire an interest. While life has taken us in many different directions we both have always had an interest in gardening even if that just meant have a few house plants and growing our own herbs. We both would love to start are trip revisiting these memories and creating new ones together. Learning about sustainable living and farming together. All while we get to meet new people and help out. We aren’t the kind of people that like to sit still for too long. So we would really enjoy the opportunity to learn new things and keep active while we work out where to go next on our journey. We both have a one year working holiday visa and think it would be great to start our adventure through wwoofing while we look for employment in Australia.

Coming to Australia on a working holiday visa was inspired by my interest in farming. I love Australia’s natural beauty and wanted to immerse myself in it even more deeply. However, finding a farming job—especially on an animal farm—was challenging. One day, I reached out to a community for advice on securing an animal farming job, and that’s when I discovered WWOOF. Although WWOOFing is unpaid, I decided to embrace the opportunity to try it and gain hands-on experience. I believe WWOOFing will deepen my love for nature and provide meaningful moments that I’ll cherish forever. It also brings back memories of my childhood, helping my family with farming and experiencing the sense of accomplishment that came with it.

Rusty Gum Farm is a 70-acre family-run property in the Lockyer Valley, Queensland. We grow and process organic ginger, sell mature ornamental olive trees, and produce small-batch infused honey. Our farm is home to koalas, native bushland, three horses, two alpacas, a Maremma sheepdog, free-ranging chickens, guinea fowl, and turkeys. We welcome WWOOFers who are keen to learn, help out, and enjoy life on a working farm with a focus on sustainability and community.

I joined WWOOF to gain new skills, bring my enthusiasm to help, and create meaningful experiences. I’ve had amazing volunteering opportunities at an animal shelter and WWOOFing on a farm in New Zealand, and I’m eager to continue that journey in Australia. I want to learn from the land, exchange stories and meet new people. I’m excited to share meals, laughter, and help wherever needed.

We are called Ozparagus and produce green asparagus and now the first in Carnarvon white asparagus. We also grow passionfruit and have just planted tree Topia. Around Tree Topia we are currently fencing the area off to make a beautiful place to come sit maybe see some sculptures and chickens with ducks swimming in the pond going in.  Hoping for some sheep and goats to help chickens ducks keep the weeds down. Chickens run around free and put away at night for safety atm in the passionfruit old yards. You will experience many different cultures on the farm with backpackers from around the world. A family business with the grandparents, ourselves and the children living here. Of course, we have our resident Dog buster who is extremely friendly and will try to convince you he is hungry always. See his Instagram story on our page. Puss Puss is also here now she does pest control and recently gave birth to some kittens with a couple more staying on you will meet them when you come.  Currently Backpackers and woofers taking care of them and have named them Gin and Tonic  lol. We are slowly getting the farm to be very bio diverse with growing mushrooms and many more varieties of vegetables on the list in the next few months.  with some trials going on now successfully growing and canning beetroot and making a relish. Diversity is key to staying afloat and to have our own produce feeding us all here with the extra for the tourists when they come on the Fruit loop next year And of course, now we have thousands of new babies to care for with the bees arriving for the Everybee Everybody.  First harvest soon yay.  Also, we'd like to make the most of all the products so diving into making salves marinades and more As well as starting our own solider fly set up to produce chicken feed and nourishment for our soil. We love the idea of wwoofers to meet other cultures and teach you what we know. We are very excited with the diversity of wwoofers coming to join our community and now families to.  We can accommodate up to 17 people on the plantation so the calendar would not reflect true availability just send us a message and CJ can tell you how many beds are available.   Look forward to meeting you all. If you want any more information, then feel free to contact us here.  Alot more information and stories on Instagram and the Webpage.  With a Blog in the pipeline (when time off farm can happen) now as many woofer stories and their own wee adventures here need to be told nicknaming the plantation the love plantation like love boat for land.  Quite a few connections made and many a great night had with everyone on farm.  It's like travelling the world again for us without having to leave the verandah. A place we design and discuss many an idea for the future and we really want woofers to leave their mark. Like Taura planted the garlic I'm about to use and she will get to enjoy it as well.   We very much look forward to meeting you all CJ and Markham

to get some work experience and explore new places. i beleive through wwoof i will be able to try out a diverse aray of work within agriculture, where elsewhere would probably not get the opportunity to. I am also keen to meet new people along the way. this program will build my confidence and knowledge. other students completing the agricultural course at university have come from a farming background, and since I do not, this would be a good way to enxperience it and get a feel for myself

We live in the city and need to break the familiar work, home, sleep, repeat cycle for a bit. We have decided to take 5 weeks off to head from Brisbane down to Tasmania to see if we might be able to catch the Aurora and connect more with nature. We hope that WWOOfing will give us the loose structure that a break often needs, collecting fire wood, building fences, tending to animals, helping maintain structures, cultivating plans, in a different scenery, and sharing life on property. We think this will be a wonderful experience for our children too - there is so much to experience beyond our state!

Ten acres in Mount Barker WA, with panoramic views of the Stirling Range, is in the very early stages of development. My father and I built the main house in 2024 and the commencement of the site plan, designed around permaculture principles, will begin when autumn sets in. I live alone and would appreciate a few extra sets of hands. I have studied permaculture online (Geoff Lawton PDC) which has topped up my knowledge and inspired a life long dream to create a sustainable/productive property - i am always excited to learn from others as I know many hold a diverse range of skills and far greater depth and wealth of knowledge than I. 2025’s aim will be the construction and planting of two major swales, among many other tasks and projects. Many hands make light work and two or more heads are better than one. I will be excited for the opportunity to host equally passionate Permi’s and hard workers to help me to get closer to realising an ambition to live sustainably and produce delicious food.
