Welcome, We are based in a suburb of Melbourne called The Basin. The Basin is situated at the foot of The Dandenong Ranges and is the gateway to The Yarra Valley. This farm and our home is 3.25 acres and we are starting from the ground up making garden beds, worm farms, watering systems and caring for our chooks. We have a Horse Drawn Carriage business that operates from our home property. The horses are stabled here when in work and some general horse care may be required at times. Accommodation is in a self-contained unit detached from the family home. It has a separate bathroom and toilet, queen size bed, TV and kitchenette. We also have a property of 110 acres situated in Glenburn, which is 62 kms away. The farm has been neglected by its previous owner, so is quite run down. I drive to the property daily to care for the cattle, sheep and horses that graze there. We are aiming to make this property as biodynamic as possible. We are making our own compost, worm tea, and compost teas to improve the land. Fencing and building of sheds is the big startup jobs underway. In summary we are close to Melbourne City, The Yarra Valley, Dandenong Ranges, Public Transport and we have a lovely Village, hosting coffee shops, bottle shop and pubs.

To meet and live with interesting people and communities. I'm also keen to work outside, learn natural organic farming, and to be in service. I love the idea of working for some space and food to share.

I would love to help and meet people. WWOOF seems to be a really nice way to do so. I want to learn about the country and give something in return. I love gardening, animals and being around in a family. It's my plan tot visit Australia for three weeks. I will arrive in Darwin around the 28 of july and leave to New Zealand around the 18 of august. Area's that I really want to visit are Alice Springs, Cairns en Hervey Bay (I really would love to see whales ).

I joined WWOOF because I wanted to try work and experiences that I wouldn’t be able to have in my home country, especially those in nature. In the latter half of my working holiday, I’m considering working on a dairy farm, so I decided to gain some prior experience through WWOOF as preparation.

I love exploring new places and see different things, that’s why I don’t want to stay too long in one place. I think WWOOFing is a great option for me because I still have time to live a little. Nevertheless i take my tasks very seriously and will do my best to help you in the best way possible.

I joined WWOOFing because I wanted to step away from city life and reconnect with something more real and grounded. After years working in structured jobs, I felt the need to live closer to nature, learn practical skills, and experience a different way of life. WWOOFing gives me the opportunity to work with my hands, meet inspiring people, and learn directly from the land — something I had always dreamed of. It’s a chance to challenge myself, grow, and contribute in a meaningful way.

Above all, I seek to learn by joining a team that promotes social connections and the exchange of knowledge. Participate in a project that makes sense, whether towards the environment or human relationships.

The biggest reason is to learn while traveling this amazing country. I would love to get to the place where I can work on a station through building my knowledge around cheese making, animal husbandry and building. I am open to hard work, but most of all having a good yarn and helping out.

Small hobby farm in a stunning location on the NSW Central Coast Currently operating as a Farm stay, Events Hub and Organic food Producer (non certified) We currently have Alpacas, goats, cows, ducks, chickens and 5 border collie dogs. We are just over 1 hour north of Sydney on 12 lush acres with a large veggie garden. We have a self-contained cottage that we rent out through Air BnB from time to time.  It's very comfortable and any woofers would have access to the cottage for their stay. We grow a decent variety of produce in the veggie garden using natural practices along with honey, eggs and some meat from time to time. We have a fantastic network of lovely neighbors and some great bush walks nearby. We are a family of 4 and would love to share our farm with you 🙂
