I joined WWOOF because I’m really interested in learning about organic farming and sustainable living. I also saw it as a great way to meet new people, experience different ways of life, and be part of a meaningful cultural exchange.

Primrose park is 6000 acres of beautiful, natural native land at Springsure, Central Highlands Queensland. The main homestead is approximately 50 metres from the original cottage house where our volunteers will stay. At the heart of everything we do are systems that promote land regeneration, free range animals and pure, non-tampered with fruits and vegetables. Our focus is Natural Sequence Farming, time controlled grazing and Joel Salatin's farming principles which mimic natural ecosystem processes. We do not sell any produce from our farm, our aim is to be merely self sufficient while helping Mother Nature to regenerate. The farm is open for volunteers to assist us in our personal gardens and animals, feeding the pigs and moving the chickens. Volunteers may also assist with some building and/or maintaining infrastructure, constructing leaky weirs, fixing fences, and gardening. We hope that having volunteers join us will be mutually beneficial. Volunteers will gain rewarding, hands-on experience, while we receive much-needed help around the farm. We offer comfortable accommodation in the original cottage house which has 7 bedrooms, shower, toilet, laundry, outdoor kitchen and lounge room. Linen, food, cutlery, crockery, cooking and cleaning needs are provided, with two separate outdoor verandahs to sit and enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Volunteers who stay at our place will gather knowledge and experience in a friendly farm stay environment.

My 17 acre property has been “ let go” and now I slowly wish to build it up to a sustainable family farm using permaculture principles. I hope to grow vegetables and have a couple of sheep, a few chooks and a couple of horses and invite city folk to stay and experience the serenity to stay and experience the heavenly quiet of the country. I am only beginning to get a few fences up , etc. I have a long way to go before   my place will be animal ready. WWOOFers would have self-contained accommodation in return for hand weeding, slashing, mowing, vegetable gardening or animal feeding.

To immerse myself in true Australian ways of life (and not just travelling through the country), to learn about local organic farming practises, to experience Australian farm life, to interact with locals, to support sustainable ideas.

Biologically farmed cattle grazing with an emphasis on biodiversity enhancement. We have a small herd of cattle who are just starting to calve, we move them regularly to allow them access to fresh fodder. Good English is required as we take safety seriously and find it is essential when working around cattle. We live in a strawbale house that is about 10 years old. You will stay in our spare room that has its own bathroom. We have about 300Ha of good quality bushland with beautiful wildflowers from July to October. We have 2 dogs who are very friendly and no children. We have just acquired 3 horses, so a bit of work involves them. We also have chooks.

以前、日本でオーガニック野菜や花を育てていました。 日本のオーガニック農場よりも先進的なオーストラリアで、オーガニック農業に関する経験と知識を身につけたいと 思っています。素敵なWWOOFオーナーに出会えることを願っています!

Because I love travelling to meet new people and get in touch with their cultures. When I travel, I would love to get to know the place where I`m going, to experience it. I believe in mutual help to be able to grow together, which is why I will be happy to share a Wwoof experience.

Because we’re eager to learn and explore! We’re looking to create our very first experience in farming and to share a genuine human connection before jumping into an official job. WWOOFing is the perfect opportunity for us: meeting passionate hosts, learning hands-on skills connected to the earth, and pushing ourselves in the great outdoors 🌾🌞. Plus, it’s ideal for Axelle to practice her “school English” (she understands everything, but still struggles a bit to express herself — and she’s up for the challenge!). So, we can’t wait to roll up our sleeves and share this amazing journey with you! 😊

I would like to gain practical farm experience and get an idea of what I could do in the future. Australia's soils are very degraded, so I would like to volunteer on farms to help build healthy soil. I'm also wanting to gain some experience handling sheep, cattle and poultry to see if I have a leaning towards any or all of them.

I am on exchange at Adelaide University and looking for a nice opportunity to spend the last 21 Days in Australia. I wanna meet new people and learn more about gardening and farming. Especially working with horses would be my little dream.
