We live on a large hobby farm in the middle of the bush- about an hour from Melbourne.  Us is: Mum and Dad, 3-4  dogs, horses, chickens, and a veg garden/ orchard. There is always bushwork- we are still clearing fallen trees from storms *WHV work) , a lot of maintenance, and many plans for things to build. Meals are  together, ( all meals with meat, we love coffee) and we chat a lot. Help in the kitchen is not work, but part of life. We work hard, and make long days- which you can join in or not. (most do) As a design/ mechanical engineer, and sculptor, and immigrants- we can teach you about life and its unpredictability. We now have had 175 + helpers over the years- but still get surprised sometimes 🙂 A phone call is essential before committing.

Working on developing sustainable gardens and in progress is a two storey industrial house-barn that my partner and I are building ourselves. I can offer experience on a 10 000 acre Cattle, goat and sheep property in SWQ. Property is off grid with solar power and back up generator and is quite remote. It is nearly an hour to town on a dirt road and own transport is a must. Come experience a working livestock property, be involved in station life as much or as little as you would like. Enjoy the animals and serenity of the Australian outback. A Fully furnished 2 two bedroom cottage is available with wifi, power and an inside bathroom and toilet. 4 -6 hrs a day of a myriad of tasks from caring for animals, gardening, handy man, regular station maintenance and management. An opportunity exists for paid work if you can offer a trade skill. Most suitable for the energetic who are happy to live in isolation. (A great way to live and see outback Australia without spending $). Ideally this position would be suitable for persons willing to spend time riding and caring for horses in addition to the variety of other property projects.

After three years of living in NZ,That place made me dream of having my place to grow my own food and actually live in a part of the ecosystem. But I felt like I’d like to travel more before having my own place to settle. And I thought WWOOF is the best combination of traveling, and learning mindsets and skills. That’s why I did join WWOOF. Thank you.

Located in Nymboida we are on a stunning 250acres and a short drive to spectacular must see destinations. We have very friendly horses, chickens, dogs & wildlife. 2 fascinating caves are only approx. 1.2km from the cottage. Sweeping views of the valley spread out below the hillside. The breathtaking wild river at Nymboida junction is popular for rafting & camping only 20 minutes away. However, there is very easy access to the river where you turn off Armidale Road to Layton's Range Road. You wake up literally with your head in the clouds. Yapunyah Park is truly a magical place.

Nurrewin is a property situated 2 hours north of Sydney, in the beautiful Wollombi Valley. Situated 15 minutes from the historic village of wollombi, the 35 hectares of native forest is a wildlife sanctuary on an old Aboriginal land. The main house is a traditional pole house, with large decks and verandah, built on a cleared elevated plateau with beautiful views of the valleys around. Adjacent is another building, converted in an artist studio. The property is completely autonomous, off the grid, with a powerful solar installation, rainwater tanks, phone and internet communication by satellite. The forest is composed of grey gums, red gums, blue gums, mountain ash, stingybark, turpentine, white mahogany, iron ark, wattles…etc, it was affected by the 2019/2020 bushfire and since then has been regenerating. I am an artist, I have a solo painting exhibition every 2 years. I share my time between painting in the studio and looking after the forest, mainly clearing areas to create firebreaks in the forest, or weeding invasive non native species after regeneration. The place is very peaceful, unique natural environment, with wildlife all around : many birds, wallabies, wombats, goannas, possums…etc I am a musician, playing piano and accordéon. I am also a volunteer for the Wollombi Valley Arts Council, managing 2 galleries for local and aboriginal artists in Wollombi village.

Our property is an eight acre hobby farm. We have a variety of fruit trees, chickens, vegetable gardens. Our three friendly dogs will enjoy your company and give you lots of laughs! We have three ponies and one horse. Our property is in the Perth hills region so it is in the bushland. We have many wildlife visit our garden including parrots, wrens and magpies. We also have the occasional possum and bandicoot. Public transport is nearby and we have a lovely village type shopping centre about 10 mins walk away with supermarkets, bakeries and coffee shops. We just need a hand to look after the horses and chickens for a short time each day. Then you are free to go bike riding, kayaking or bushwalking around our area to see the natural bush and find some kangaroos.

Peace Be Still is a farm with organically grown citrus, vegetables, poultry and sheep. Situated in the Chittering Valley, it is adjacent to the Avon Valley National Parks and has walking trails leading to the Park. Peace Be Still serves as a guest house, retreat centre or workshop venue. It is situated on a farm with bushland adjoining the Avon Valley National Park allowing access for extensive bushwalking. Volunteering includes gardening, pruning, fencing, picking fruit, feeding animals for about 4 hours a day. Our place would be suitable for couples with some self-catering with food supplied in a separate house and irregular meals with host. Mixed diet, no children, No smoking inside. Through this experience, I seek to learn new techniques, discover Australian nature and its culture, contribute to the protection of nature, and also meet new people from here and elsewhere.
