As my Visa expires in November, I am currently searching for the opportunity to complete my 88 days in a remote/regional area. I would prefer to complete it in NSW as I am also looking into different migration pathways and, therefore, need to stay in NSW due to the requirements for that. However, I am also willing to complete it in any other state in Australia!

To have the option to volunteer in some works. To have the option to meet the locals and help with whatever is necessary and can teach me a valuable lesson.

We joined WWOOF to further our experience in Organic farming while meeting like minded people and making meaningful connections. We are keen to exchange ideas, knowledge and experiences with people and volunteer our time in exchange. As we are full time traveling Australia, WWOOF is a great avenue to veer off the beaten track and experience farms all over Australia while keeping travel costs down.

To learn about how we can produce food in sustainable and healthy ways, to gain practical experience in working on a farm, to meet interesting people, and to give myself (and mainly my legs) a bit of a break from cycling.

It's a great experience to be able to immerse yourself in Australian life. It's a wonderful opportunity to discover a new culture and a different way of working, as well as to improve our English skills. Moreover, it's a pleasure to offer our help and share our own culture with others. WWOOF is a good platform to potentially access what we are looking for.

Trafalgar Farm is a heritage property established in 1846. We have a small orchard and growing fields for turmeric, garlic, sweet potatoes and seasonal green vegetables and herbs. Volunteering includes caring for the gardens (food & ornamental). We have a large meditation and yoga room. Seperate cabin with verandah accommodation for 1 as well as a very comfortable twin room in the main house.  Shared meals & food provided for self-catering. Mixed diet. Non-smokers preferred. Negotiable stays after initial visit as I'd like to have someone long term who is looking for part time work in the district and work with me as a Woofer. Self motivated young people to help me grow more food very welcome 🙏

I am interested in learning about permaculture, animal husbandry, especially sheep and goats, regenerative agriculture, how to run and operate a small farm, harvesting wool, and much more! I would like to own my own farm one day, combining rehabilitative services and occupational therapy with outdoor garden/animal skills...the vision is an outdoor healing space for people who have experienced traumatic injuries. I am WWOOFing to learm how others have linked sustainable practices and community.

Welcome to Soul Farm in Yandina, QLD!  Tucked away in the lush Sunshine Coast Soul Farm is a small, non-certified organic farm lovingly run by Sabine, a young at heart and body 62-year-old originally from Germany who has called Australia home for many years. Though small in scale, the farm is big on heart and character - with a mix of friendly animals, vibrant plants, and down-to-earth hospitality.

I joined WWOOF, because I think it´s a great possibility of meeting new people and do something meaningful while travelling. In fact I love animals and nature, so I would really enjoy working together with animals on a farm outside, I couldn´t spend my whole working time inside an office for instance. I also believe that WWOOF is a good opportunity to exchange cultures between hosts and WOOFers, so it´s actually an enrichment for both of the sides. But especially for WOOFers, it´s a welcome change from travelling. For example, I want to drive up the east coast by bus for approx. a month, and afterwards I´d love to once again have some structure in my day and work and do something meaningful. Not least of all Australia is quite expensive, so WWOOF is a great way of saving some money while experiencing the "real" lifestyle of an an aussie farmer. But what is most important for me is that WWOOF is the possibility of being taken and accepted into a family while helping them with their farm.

I joined WWOOF because I enjoy working outdoors and want to learn more about organic farming. I hope to gain practical skills, meet new people, and experience more farm life in Australia. I’m especially interested in animal care and would love to help while exploring Australia 🙂

I joined WWOOF for a few reasons. Firstly, I had an amazing experience working on a farm in Tasmania for two months, and it really sparked my passion for farm work. Secondly, with only two months left on my working holiday visa, I wanted to spend that time living and volunteering in a place I've always dreamed of visiting. WWOOF seemed like the perfect way to combine those two desires. Additionally, I'm very interested in learning more about organic vegetables, their cultivation, and the philosophies of farmers who prioritize sustainable practices. I also hope to broaden my perspective and learn from the lifestyle and values of my host family.

I joined WWOOF because it was recommended as a good way to help me meet the requirements for extending my Working Holiday visa. However, I chose this path not just to fulfil a requirement, but because I truly want to have an experience I would love and enjoy. Volunteering is something I’ve always been passionate about, and I’ve looked for opportunities to do it even back in my home country.

I would love to volunteer in a farm. I like to learn new things and cultures, to live new experiences and to help. I did volunteering in cultural festivals in France and in a op shop in Australia. I would like to learn about organic farm, to help Hosts on their properties and to acquire new skills.

Wurrabinya is home to Ian, Harly, Mac (b 2014), Mia (b 2015), Pooch, our kelpie kid (pet dog), a pair of budgies, several chooks and assorted wildlife and occasionally Nina (b2004). We have a 1/4 hectare block about 30 mins from the CBD, in the lovely Adelaide Hills, where we run chickens and have a range of fruit and nut, and native trees which primarily feed the local lorikeets, rosellas and cockatoos. Volunteering tasks for WWOOFers: Equates to 25 hours a week for full food and board and includes weed control, garden maintenance and chicken care. Accommodation: is in our house and we eat together. Ian works full time in town and Harly is busy with Mac & Mia, so an ability to work by yourself is a bonus. Very happy to host two friends and /or partners. Harly prefers women WWOOFers or a couple.
