I joined this community to find different experiences where the main focus is on human relationships rather than money. I find it fascinating to live inside another culture, to learn and understand part of its history. I love exchanging life philosophies and sharing different foods.

I want to learn more about the joys of agriculture and to connct with nature. I believe there's much to learn and discover in Australia because I also want to interact with people. And I'm genuinely interested in understanding how others think and live. I'm quite curious by nature. Additionally, I want to explore the cultural differences between Australia and Japan to objectively reflect on my own values.

I became interested in joining WWOOF after learning a little about permaculture during one of my university lectures. Although it was a brief introduction, it sparked my curiosity about sustainable living and how people can live in harmony with nature. Since then, I have been eager to learn more and, eventually, practice it myself. I have heard that Australia is known for its strong focus on permaculture and sustainable farming practices, making it an ideal place for me to gain hands-on experience. By joining WWOOF in Australia, I hope to immerse myself in the local lifestyle, learning not only about farming techniques but also about how people live sustainably on a daily basis. This experience will give me valuable insights and skills that I can apply to my own life in the future, and help me contribute to a more sustainable world.

I´ve always loved being outside and spending time in nature. My parents have a beautiful garden where I grew up, that´s how I learned gardening from an early age. I love animals and grew up caring for cats and chickens, today I live in a city that´s why I want to spend some of my free time working with or around animals. I enjoy gardening a lot and I would like to learn more about building and fixing things. Physical work is no problem for me as I´m a sporty person and I find it very rewarding working surrounded by nature. I´m also interested in learning more about organic and sustainable farming.

There are two reasons for joining WWOOF. First, I want to improve my English skills. If I can improve my English, I'll be able to enjoy my trip more. Second, I want to experience different cultures. I'll learn a lot of things by staying and working in Australia as a family member. I want to make use of what I learned at WWOOF when I become an elementary school teacher.

I joined WWOOF Australia to see more of this country, and see it through the eyes of a local as well. I am interested in sustainability (and sustainable agriculture particularly) and I think WWOOFing would offer a great opportunity to learn more about the topic.
