Flinders Island Olives is an olive grove on Flinders Island Tasmania, Australia. The grove is 3.5 ha with a little over 1000 olive trees. The olives are picked during April through to July and processed on site in an olive press on site, to create magnificent extra virgin olive oil. The grove is next to Killiecrankie Bay and surrounded by paddocks of grass and native bush. Part of the property contains a small campground with basic accommodation and camp sites for tourists and visitors.

I joined WWOOF Australia because I want to experience what life is like in Australia. What better way to do that, than to work and live with an Australian family.  Another reason I joined WWOOF is because I heard only good things about it, from a friend who has already participated in the program. I am looking for my next adventure and I'm hoping that the WWOOF program can help me with that! I want to learn more about sustainable living and organic farming. I would also like to learn how to take care of farm animals. I want to learn as much as I can through hands-on experience. I have done a lot of volunteer work throughout my life and I find helping others rewarding.  I genuinely enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories, and making lifelong connections.

Our citrus farm is about half way between Sydney & Brisbane. Bonville is a lovely area, just South of Coffs Harbour. People enjoy the space & peace here, -and we do have wifi! Sawtell Village is only 15 minutes away - surfing, beach walking, street cafes, post office, cinema & shops you can do them all. We will give you a lift there, -and pick you up again! Our main farm work takes place in the morning, with a tea break half way through. WWOOFers start at 8.30am., and finish by 1.30pm. Accommodation is separate from the house and has its own bathroom, TV, kettle, etc. Meals are shared at the house with us, except for breakfast, which is taken in the accommodation. Volunteering includes caring for citrus trees, picking, packing, some weeding! Afterwards, you can relax in our pool, walk to the creek, take a nap, explore Sawtell or Coffs Harbour, watch TV, read - the choice is yours. We look forward to meeting you!

The Knowles is 4 hectares of stunning north facing hillside over-looking the Australian mainland’s most southerly town-Apollo Bay. We love living here. And we love sharing our home with people from around the world. We have fruit trees, hazel nuts, olives, sheep, goats, bees & many, many weeds. There is always something to do and much to learn - from each other. WWOOFers share our cozy farm house in either double room or single guest room. We also have a seperate modern caravan with bathroom. We are 5 kms from town. Omnivorous folk preferred, but vegetarians are fine too. We share our home and like to get to know our volunteering guests. Volunteering is mostly gardening & looking after animals. COVID Vaccination required. Good cooks & people with a sense of humour preferred.

i38 acres (11 hectares) along the Colo River in NSW one of the few remaining clean rivers in NSW . The river is clear and safe to swim in. There is a comfortable 4 bedroom house with a wrap around verandah of 25 metres plus air con, ceiling fans and a grand piano. The house is on 3.5 metre stilts and was safe during the 4 floods we had in 2022. The house is built into the side of a mountain which is great for climbing. I have some dorper sheep and there are kangaroos, goannas possums and I have a lovely puppy. I need help with weeding vegetable beds, watering the 120 trees I have planted, removal of bamboo, clearing bush and cutting down young trees for reasons of fire control and renovation work on a flood affected building. The Colo River is only 1.5 hours away from Sydney and I can pick up people from the train station at Windsor which is 30 minutes driver away. I have 2 kayaks available for use and just floating down the river for a few kilometres is a great and safe experience as the river is not that deep and perfectly clear to the sandy riverbed. The area is a flood affected disaster zone so qualifies for visa extensions. Minimum stay is 5 days with up to 6 hours work per day. If you have any special food needs please let me know in advance.

We are a 40 acre farm with a young family. We run beef cattle, 2 pet donkeys, chickens, ducks and our 4 pet dogs. We have recently completed our permaculture design course but are still learning the ropes on growing food as we go. We have a small garden area with big plans to hopefully grow majority of our own fresh fruit and vegetables. We process our own beef for our family consumption and are hoping to start doing the same with poultry.

We own a double block in Newport on Sydney’s northern beaches. Our little boy Roki has a severe brain injury. We embarked on a mission to grow all his food (he is tube fed) and turned the block into a permaculture yard. We need a lot of help to complete it. We have lived here for one year. We have views on Newport Beach and we’re a short walk from the beach. As I do all the caring and therapy on Roki my husband Dave is left with finishing the yard. There are a lot of jobs he cannot do by himself. He is a carpenter and very handy. We will be looking for someone to come for at least 4-6 weeks to help Dave make more garden beds, assist with the compost making, planting, building pergolas for all the grape vines we need to plant etc. We have an awesome vintage caravan on the yard that can be accomodation for people. We know it’s not s farm but it is our little farm!

I joined WWOOF because I think it would be a fantastic way to see more of this beautiful country! I love to be outside as much as I can, and know that the volunteer work through WWOOF would provide the perfect opportunity for that.

I joined this community because we’d love to take our first steps working on a farm and discover that whole environment. I’ve worked in various food-related jobs, and now we really want to learn how our food is actually grown. We’re into wellness, we work out regularly, and we try to eat organic as much as possible. That’s why working on an organic farm would be the dream! We’re planning to live in Australia for a few years and want to make the most of it by having unique experiences we wouldn’t get anywhere else. The goal is to extend our visa for a second, or even a third year.

Kangaroo Island Olives' is a South Australian, family-owned agribusiness focused on regenerative agriculture. We deeply respect the environment and hold a fundamental belief in working with mother nature, not against her. We believe healthy soils grow healthy foods which make healthy humans. Our farm, located beside a heritage-listed wilderness zone, reflects our deep commitment to preserving the natural beauty of Kangaroo Island. Through regenerative farming practices, we protect and enhance the environment rather than deplete it. Our olive trees sequester more carbon than it takes to produce, ensuring that our products are not only delicious but also genuinely sustainable for years to come. Today, the family farm is known as 'Little Liguria’. Day to day farming activities are coordinated by Dom, whilst sons Michael and Vincent handles business operations. It is a mixed farming operation which includes olive groves, honey bees, seasonal grazing, and agri-tourism. Kalamata, Frantoio, Koroneiki, Leccino, Ligurian, and many more varieties of olives can be found on Little Liguria, with large areas of woodlands also dedicated to land care and wildlife conservation.
