We are Pepe and Feo and we would like to use our time here in Australia to connect with new people and collect new ideas and knowledge. It’s also important for us to learn new skills, as we don’t know what kind of jobs we want to fulfill in the future. Wwoofing would be the best chance to achieve all these things.

I want to have the opportunity to experience Australia and learn new things. Previously, I have worked on a form in Ireland and really enjoyed it; now I want to do the same in Australia and play some rugby league during my time here.

I joined WWOOFing to get practical permaculture experience to supplement the theory I am learning. I also seek community and belonging from the lovely people I meet. I would love to do a trip around Australia, learning from WWOOFing hosts and meeting travellers and the like-minded.

I became interested in joining WWOOF after learning a little about permaculture during one of my university lectures. Although it was a brief introduction, it sparked my curiosity about sustainable living and how people can live in harmony with nature. Since then, I have been eager to learn more and, eventually, practice it myself. I have heard that Australia is known for its strong focus on permaculture and sustainable farming practices, making it an ideal place for me to gain hands-on experience. By joining WWOOF in Australia, I hope to immerse myself in the local lifestyle, learning not only about farming techniques but also about how people live sustainably on a daily basis. This experience will give me valuable insights and skills that I can apply to my own life in the future, and help me contribute to a more sustainable world.

For both of us, human connection is a vital part of traveling. Sharing moments with the locals is the best way to learn about a country’s culture and truly understand its environment. That’s why wwoofing is perfect for us—it allows us to meet people at the start of our journey and immerse ourselves in Australian culture.

I discovered woofing in France (2 weeks in Ardèche overall) and loved the experience! I would really enjoy to do it again now that I’m in Australia, to continue learning, sharing and discover new stories, projects, way of life in a farming environment. Thinking maybe one day I might have my own farm as well, who knows?

I live on the Sunshine Coast working a casual job on the ocean that is highly weather dependent. I have lots of free time given the poor weather and given I’ve seen the impact of the recent cyclone and flooding rains in March-May, I’d love to help local farms get back on their feet. I love to be outdoors, adore animals and working with plants.

Hello, I'm a 50 y/o male from NZ. I'm working in WA in mining and am looking for accommodation for short periods in conjunction with the mine work cycle. My background is in Farming and Earthmoving so this brings a wide range of skills that may be of some use. I'm not one to sit around while on break, I'd rather be busy helping out on a project or whatever you could use a hand with. I'm a father to 4 boys so am quite used to children and enjoy interacting with them. I've only just joined Wwoofing as it seemed a fun way to meet new people and like the idea of a barter arrangement. Regards Simon

Initially, going to Australia wasn't my main objective; what I wanted above all was to make a documentary, a film about an enriching experience I could have had abroad. Then, almost two years ago, I was involved in a serious car accident that almost killed me. This event taught me the importance of living life to the full, with no regrets, whatever the outcome. After that accident, my vision changed radically: I decided I had to leave. Lacking the budget, I opted for a visa that would enable me to work on site and finance my project. Through this adventure, my aim is to discover a new world, in particular wwoofing, and explore all its riches.

Beautiful 300 acre farm which we run wool sheep, alpaca, house cows, horses, chickens and bees. Although we've been farming all our lives, we've only been on this farm for a few years so we are still setting up. In addition to looking after the farm and animals we are growing vegetables and setting up an orchard to be self sufficient. We love our farming lifestyle and are always looking to enjoy and improve our farm. We are very interested in regenerative agriculture, low footprint systems, revegetation, water health, low to no chemicals, soil health and low stress stock handling. We love having people to stay that are interested in joining in and being a part of whats happening on the farm. We do have some huts for you to stay in or you're welcome to bring your own caravan, tent etc.

Accommodation Type: In Our Home
We are situated at the base of the Tomowin Mountain Range that divides Queensland and NSW. The valley is home to a host of native birds & wildlife. We are a 10min drive away from Mt Cougal National Park, where meandering natural rock pools wind through the tranquil rainforest. We are also a 10km drive from the beach and a great surfing spot. Although we are in the rural sector of Currumbin Valley our property is a compact average suburban block of ground. Still we have a good variety of organic tropical fruit and citrus trees, and a compact garden. Volunteering is mainly gardening, some shared kitchen duties, and house maintenance, 4-5 hrs daily, 5 days a week. Accommodation for 1-2 single guys/girls, or a married couple. Good food, meat-based, mixed diet. Prefer intermediate speakers of English. No drugs, alcohol or abusive language. Non-smokers only. P/U from Varsity Lakes train station, Palm Beach bus stop, or Gold Coast airport. Negotiable stays after first few days.

I wanted to try WWOOFing a few years ago, but it didn’t work out at the time. I eventually forgot about the website, but during a recent visit to a small farm, the owners reminded me of it. Since I enjoy being in nature and helping people, I thought I’d give it another go.

I'd love to try WWOOF-ing as I want to learn where our food comes from and how to potentially be self-sufficient! As well as learning about different farming practices, organic vs non organic, working through different seasons and what that means for us as farmers/planters and our health impacts. During my time here, I'd love to gain a variety of experiences, try different ways of living, too meet genuine people and get out to the countryside 🙂
