The purpose of participating in WWOOF is to live and work in a new country and to communicate with people I have never been involved with before. Of course, I would like to be able to speak English better, as I don't speak it yet. This is my first time in Australia, so there are a lot of things I don't understand, but I wanted to have a work experience here. Why did you choose Australia? Actually, it was because a friend I met in Canada strongly recommended Australia to me. She said that Australia is a wonderful country and everyone is kind. Also, if possible, in addition to my work as a WWOOF, I would be happy to have the opportunity to help out as a volunteer caregiver or physical therapist. Of course, I don't have a state license in this country, so I'm happy to give massages or assist in caregiving or whatever the opportunity presents itself.  I am new to farming, but I would like to change myself through new experiences in a new country. Above all, I would like to experience the joy of a new job while using English. Through my experience in this country, if it suits me, I would like to work as a caregiver or get other qualifications in this country in the near future. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to work as a woofer.

We have five acres of land and special gardens on the outskirts of the clay pans, nestled in between Mount Ertwa and the gracious MacDonnell Range at Ilparpa just outside of Alice Springs. The birdlife, wildlife and native garden is serene and full of beauty. We have adopted a permaculture ethos while also battling the invasive weed of buffel grass in the hopes of restoring and revegetating the land back into its natural habitat.

My daughter wants her Australian citizenship by descent and I need to spend more time in the country for my kids to be eligable. This seems like a fun, inexpensive way to do that. This way we can also see many different areas of the country in the four months that we will be there.

Welcome to the beautiful hilly town of Bridgetown. Our property is called Myrtle May Farm. It's a walk/ cycle, or jog away from cafes, local art and music events and all the things that make an amazing community. Our property is a Permiculture Food Forest  with medicinal and culinary herbs, fruit trees, vege raised beds and beautiful ornamental gardens that lift your spirits. For the last 20 years we have hosted hundreds of wwoofers and most have stayed longer....loving the positive vibe and all the arts and permaculture philosophy we practice here. We create low waste solutions and get creative on the way. Accommodation is a very warm, cosy and clean caravan with its own Japanese styled pagoda. We continually renovate it to make it a special for all travellers and friends. In the next few years we are building a yoga studio and creating a bird attracting garden with natives and proteas. With an abundance of produce we teach wwoofers to come up with creative culinary treats and have had minor miracles produced in the kitchen! Art is a huge emphasis on our property as well as music. Welcome!

I have a strong passion for sustainability and dream to make the world a better place. I think that working on creating better food systems is key in addressing climate change and so I would like to do some WWOOFing to learn more about farming and get some experience along with a needed break from academic work. I am very eager to learn, excited to experience new things, and meet new people.

Come to Kongwak, the 'Valley of Peace', where over the last 20 years I have created a thriving permaculture garden on less than 2 acres, which provides our family & local community with fresh, organic produce & plants. I have also set up a small nursery In our little town, where we propagate & sell a range of native, indigenous, permaculture & edible plants & produce. The nursery is based at the popular Kongwak Market, where I have also established a community garden called the Secret Garden, where I run regular workshops about permaculture, composting, medicinal plants etc. Kongwak is a beautiful little village in the heart of South Gippsland, only 15mins from Korumburra, Wonthaggi, Inverloch & lovely beaches. We are about half an hour to Phiilip Island & one & half hours to magnificent Wilson's Promontory. We can provide accomodation in our house to singles, couples or small groups of friends. We currently don't have any pets except chickens. Short & long term stays welcome!

I’ve found myself with a nice chunk of time between graduating university and starting on a graduate scheme with the civil service this Autumn, so I would love to get out and experience a bit of life before I start my career in earnest. I'd love to meet people I would otherwise never have the chance to and make some really rich memories and learn all sorts of skills to take home with me!

The Avocado Tree Farm is an 80 acre, certified organic avocado farm located in the Mary Valley, Queensland. We - John and Julia Tidy are the owners and live here with our 21 year old son, Nic, and our 19 year old daughter, Catherine. We have two kelpie dogs, Pip and Evie. We also run sheep, cattle and chickens. There is a tiny home and a cabin on the property which we Airbnb. Should you be interested in helping on our farm, your accommodation would either be in the house or a room a short distance from the house. Both have their own en-suites. Duties are varied and could include: helping on the orchard, picking and packing avocados, gardening, mowing, whipper-snipping and cleaning. John and Julia love to get to know their guests and are very welcoming as they have travelled in the past. Some of our previous guests have become like family and have returned to visit or have hosted Catherine in Europe when she did an OE. You will be welcomed and given opportunities to help out in jobs you prefer and you will have time to visit the local area.

As I am on my WHV right now, I'd love to complete the 88 days whilst combining it with things I love: nature (and not just the city's local park ...), organic farming and food produce, sustainablility, learning new practices, meeting new people and sharing experiences, knowledge.... I could go on and on... What I want to say, is that I love to the concept of WWOF, I've done plenty of workaway projects (a website very similar to WWOF) where I've worked on smaller sustainable projects where I've helped with planting, harvesting, taking care of vegetable gardens, maintanance and gettign creative with natural building materials (we built a rocket stove or patched up a door), helped with the flooring of a house boat.... (my name there is evakessler in case you want to look it up) And I'm not exacerbating when I'm saying that some of my best memories come from workaway/ volunteering on exactly those projects!! I'm looking for a project/ place to stay for these 88 days, but not just to "do my time" but to be part of your home/ place if you'd like, to help where I can, to learn, share and laugh :))

We are attempting to regenerate a section of Wilsons creek near Mullumbimby, Byron Shire, NSW This involves planting native trees/shrubs and removing weeds and debris present due to the 2022 floods. We are on 11 acres with swimming holes, fruit trees, and plenty of wildlife.

Our property sits on the edge of the Beelu National Park in the hills east of Perth. Quirky outbuildings made from recycled materials, including an art studio. The main cottage was built in 1881. The accomodation consists of a caravan with all mod cons (air con/tv) with a seventies vibe, an old railway carriage and a recently renovated outdoor bathroom with toilet and shower. We share it with one dog, a quarter horse and a miniature pony. 15 minutes from Lake Leschenaultia where you can swim. 15 minutes to the railway station to central Perth. A great location on the edge of the forest but with easy access to Perth city and Fremantle.

I am looking to try something new while I travel in my campervan which is my reason for joining WWOOF. I have always enjoyed growing my own food when I have had the space but would love to learn about permaculture and working with animals given the opportunity. I would also be keen to do any conservation work required as I am passionate about regenerating our native bush.
