I have a small farm in WA's SouthWest which has established fruit trees, cows, chickens and 2 homes plus a granny flat - so accomodation is flexible. We are on rain water, so use it wisely and use river water for the toilets - so they dont sparkle like most lavatories. There is plenty of places for growing more veg but I have gotten behind in the maintenance of the raised beds. So I would like help here and infinishing some small amount of landscaping. It is beautiful and quiet with a large variety of birds on the property. There is also a strong focus on health and fitness to balance the workload.

I want to get hands on practical experience and learning on a range of different farms to help orient my future career. I work in climate strategy and understand how fundamental the way we produce and consume food is to being resilient into the future, and want to be part of bringing about change to the way we do this that allows us to improve soil and nourish people. I want to learn and absorb it all to understand the contexts of different growing, what works and what doesn’t, how different approaches are being sought. I’m very excited that I’m taking this time to learn and grow in the area that sets my heart on fire.

I had a farm experience in Melbourne, Australia, where I enjoyed experiencing Australia's nature and animals, and developed a longing for speaking English. Through the farm stay, I was able to learn about other people's culture and values, which were completely different from the Japanese values I had, and I fell in love with Australia. My sister also studied abroad on the Gold Coast, so I have a positive and friendly image of Australia. It has been my dream since I was little to be surrounded by an English-only environment, and I have been studying English every day, so I want to improve my English skills. I would be glad to work in your farm and I'm eager to learn more about farming!!

We are an intergenerational family run cattle operation 400km south of Katherine in the Northern Territory. The property is a 280,000ha operation running in excess of 20,000 head of beef cattle. We breed, backround and fatten the livestock using sustainable grazing operations (mainly rotational grazing and wet season spelling). We focus on low stress stock handling techniques to allow cattle to flow through yards and keep people safe who are working with them. To this purpose we have an extensive laneway network that allows stock to be moved by one person at a slow speed. We are not a fan of chemical use and restrict our usage to bare minimums required (primarily government mandated applications such as to cross stock tick lines). We feed a lot of mineral stock lick for the health and wellbeing of our livestock who we have been carefully selecting genetics for many years to focus on quiet polled livestock (no or reduced horns). We are able to take wwoofers without vehicles as we can pick you up from our local roadhouse (Dunmurra roadhouse). We can assist with teaching you English however the better your English language the more you will be able to enjoy the experience. Accommodation is private single rooms with private bathroom (normally airconditioned). We have a cook for most of the year however that may depend on what time of the year you come to spend with us. The landscape here is mostly flat, dry country normally referred to as Savanah forest land. We have a broad array of native wildlife on the property including wild dogs, birds and marsupials.

At our farm we strive to be sustainably productive and have a peaceful environment coexisting with nature as seamlessly as we can. We grow a mixture of food, fruit trees (to sell commercially), and our own animals for our meat from time to time. We enjoy gardens and nurturing the expediated redevelopment of natural Flaura and fauna as much as we can. But we really need the help of Wwoofers occasionally because we get very excited about caring for the environment and have a habit of taking on more than we can manage between that and the farm . The assistance really helps us reset every now and then and get back in front of the workload at the farm without need to resort to the use of chemicals. I guess Permaculture is the closest description to what we do right now with aspirations of being biodynamic as time permits.

Come and escape the world on our bush farm haven. We are a fully off grid 25 acre bush farm, adopting permaculture, biodynamic, syntropic principles to our growing. In 2021, our family settled in this 25acre property of pure bushland located at Horse Camp, a short drive from Gin Gin. Step by step, we have chipped away, with the goal of creating a liveable space where we can be completely sustainable living off and working with the land. You can enjoy sitting by the campfire at night gazing up at the beautiful night sky, followed by the many clear sunny days. Every day is a peaceful day at Horse Camp. Come and meet our 2 boofy dogs, 3 cats and our 20+ pet chooks. We have a permaculture food forest garden providing organic produce; vegetables, herbs and the occasional fruit, along with our happy flock of chooks supplying fresh eggs daily. Let us teach you what we've learnt so far, and perhaps you may be able to share some of your knowledge and creative ideas too. We look forward to our paths crossing on this life adventure!

We live on 4 acres (about 1.5 hectares) with our big friendly dog Elvis, our rescue tabby cat, a large vegetable garden, many different fruit trees, and livestock for meat and eggs (cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens). Ad works in IT from home and is pretty busy with that, so you will mainly be assisting Tinker with the farm work.
