I have 3 Certified Organic properties in Lorinna. Home is 70 acres (40 cleared) in a beautiful mountain valley, bordering Lake Cethana. Second is 95 acres higher in the valley – magnificent views, cleared & divided into paddocks for grazing cattle & growing hay. I am self-sufficient & produce nearly all I need incl electricity. I have a large veggie garden & orchard & have not shopped in a supermarket for years. I milk our house cows & raise beef cattle using cell grazing. A lawn is grazed by free-range guinea pigs, keep rabbits for love & dinners.I enjoy good food & wine, music, reading & current affairs and live in a large hay bale house. Volunteer tasks include gardening, fieldwork, haymaking, animal care, firewood collection/stacking etc depending on skills & needs. Recreation: bushwalking, swimming, reading & social activities. Accommodation in WWOOF house across the field from my house, all meals in my house with me. Couples OK. No children. No Pets either sorry I have animals so it doesn't work Meals are organic & include meat & dairy. No special diets. Couples welcome. Non-smokers only. Prefer long stays - min stays 1 week. We live on a beautiful and remote property in far north Queensland. We also manage the property next door to us and adjoin Mowbray National Park, so if you like nature, lots of space, peace and quiet, then we might be the place for you. We are fully off grid (solar power, pump our own water and grow a lot of our own food). We manage the property purely for maximum biodiversity outcomes and use it for research, education and conservation. The property is not farmed. It is half rainforest and half dry land ecosystems and we have many walking tracks and swimming holes you are welcome to enjoy. We also have platypus in the creek for those keen to spot one of Australia's coolest animals. Our work is usually 2hrs in the morning and two hours in the afternoon (4hrs daily) in exchange for three wholesome meals a day, accommodation and satellite wifi. We usually have a thriving organic vegetable and fruit garden that we produce much of our food from.

I want to learn about foreign agriculture. I will do something to learn it.For example, carrying heavy things and working in a smelly place. Also I’m interesting in organic farming. In the future, I want to farm in Japan. To make the dream come true, I join this and learn somethings.

Bossy Boots Organic Farm is Certified Organic. The property is in beautiful Balingup, with rolling hills, surrounded by native forest. The property is 80 acres and is situated alongside the Bibbulman Track. Seasonal vegetables & fruit are our main production, selling produce to local retailers & Perth Market. A Commercial kitchen was built to ‘value add’ the produce we grow.

Now, I study how agriculture impacts the environment, but it is difficult to gain experiments in farming at my university. Therefore, I want to learn eco-friendly farming methods by working with actual farmers. I also want to enjoy Australian life 🙂

Skills I Want to Learn:
I joined WWOOF because I love nature, animals, and the idea of sustainable living. I want to gain hands-on experience, learn new skills, and connect with like-minded people while exploring different parts of Australia. I’m excited to contribute through hard work, whether it’s helping with animals, gardening, or general farm tasks. For me, WWOOFing is not just about working but also about sharing experiences, learning from hosts, and immersing myself in a different way of life. I look forward to meaningful exchanges and unforgettable memories!

Hi there lovely WWOOFers! Sam (37) Clara (31) and Reilly (1.5 in 2020) here. While Reilly was just a twinkle our eyes, Clara and I spent 4.5 years travelling Australia in our awesome veggie oil-powered Landcruiser, searching for the most beautiful spots to set up camp and call home for a week or two. After our first 3 month tour of Tasmania, we just fell in love with the place, returning every summer for more of the same. Somehow we just knew we'd end up here. As we travelled, we gained a real appreciation for simple living and developed a taste for the best organic local food sourced from farmers markets as we went. This just helped fuel the dream of a beautiful camp to set up in permanently, and do our best at living a low impact, natural, self-sufficient, homesteading lifestyle. When 6 months pregnant, out of the blue, the bank of Dad called up and offered a loan to help make our dream come true. And we‘ve always dreamed big.

I’m interested in the nature and wildlife here, and I would like to experience living in a place surrounded by them. Also, as I have worked helping with fruit harvesting, I’m interested in different methods of working in other countries.

I own 25 acres of steep, rocky land in W Tree in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. Over almost 35 years I have built (with considerable help) a lovely passive solar mudbrick house, planted crazy numbers of trees, gardened and raised my wonderful son. In many ways, I have worked towards a dream from my early 20's to build a country life. My place is lovely. The vast expanse of bushland that surrounds it is beyond spectacular. We can Sign off on your 2nd Year Visas as we were affected by the 2019-2020 Bushfires. PLEASE NOTE: MUST be fully Vaccinated- thank you

I joined woof because I am keen to learn new skills, meet new people, give back to the land, contribute to projects that benefit the community and nature. And also explore other parts of the country whilst woofing.

I am getting curiouser and curiouser each moment.   I'm a plant-based lover. I love the idea of a healthy, ethical and sustainable life for all living creatures, i want to help build healthy communities and as well as bring back the wild.

I joined WWOOF because I think it offers the perfect mix of practical learning, cultural exchange and personal development that I'm looking for. Having recently become intrigued by sustainable farming and animal care, I want to see how it's really done in the field whether it's organic farming techniques and soil health management or livestock feeding and grooming routines. WWOOFing in Australia also allows me to improve my English, while working with hosts and other volunteers, and I appreciate the sense of community that WWOOF promotes. Living and working alongside people who love what they do for ecological agriculture encourages teamwork, mutual respect and the exchange of diverse perspectives. I'm looking forward to putting my energy and experience in pet therapy and family gardening to good use.

I want to learn about permaculture and enjoy cultural exchange. And I want to become fluent in English. I hope to achieve adopting sustainable lifestyle. I want to live in a way that doesn’t harm the Earth. I don’t want to hurt other beings or nature by focusing only on human comfort. I absolutely love surfing and spending time in nature. I deeply respect the Earth, which constantly gives us wonder, challenges, and joy. Even if I can’t change the world overnight, I want to start with myself and my surroundings, learning and practicing what I can. I believe that what’s healthy for the body is also kind to the Earth and animals, and that it can be a source of positive energy.

Like my bio points to, I got super burnt out spending long periods behind a computer after the nonprofit I helped found took off. I felt a really strong pull to get outside, get my hands dirty, and get my body moving again. I spent the last year in NZ working and volunteering in various ag industries; I found my best, some of them life-long, connections through WWOOF, so I knew I had to join WWOOF in Australia too!
